As I approach the end of 2018 I reflect on how the year has gone. I did many shows and the people I met made life interesting. I am going to focus more of my energy on teaching in the coming year. I want to share the experience of creating with alcohol inks. It may seem dramatic, but they have changed my life in so many ways and for that I am grateful. I am looking forward to 2019. Life is a journey and I'm packing my suitcase full!

I am totally rejuvenated after my Hawaiian vacation. Who wouldn't be right! I shipped my ink supplies and did some works while gazing at the beautiful flowers and scenery. I did not want to come home needless to say. When I did, it was to 9 new inches of snow and below zero temps... I was tempted to stay on the plane and fly back. My husband had other ideas...he was actually glad to be home.... Aloha from Wisconsin.
Looking forward to Friday's class at the Gift Shop in Medford. We are going to have such a good time and beautiful works will be created - guaranteed!
My latest show last Saturday in Eagle River WI was amazing. The compliments I received, the people I talked with, the sales...WOW! I even won 1 of 3 Honorable Mention blue ribbons! Wooo Hooo! I am so grateful. Thank you all who made my day!
Thanks to all who inquired about the ink class on May 19th at the Gift Shop in downtown Medford WI. I am full up this go around. I may schedule another so stop back or drop me a line! I have an art fair on Mother's Day in Marshfield WI. Stop in and say hi if you're in the area! I'm still thinking spring but the weather is just not tuning in to my thoughts.
What a pathetic blogger I've turned out to be. Seriously, the last one was in July 2015? Oh well, that's the way it is in life. Been busy creating new alcohol ink works. Still has my attention so it must be amazing. Just so many things you can do with it and so many things it does on its own. Patiently waiting for spring. Winter does make a person slow down and take it easy. I don't like cold weather so most of my time is spent indoors, usually in my basement space laying down ink and such. Gearing up for another year of shows selling our cutting boards. I've decided to do an art show this year. It's high time, been telling myself to do this for too long. Just Do IT! So I will. Stayed tuned I'll let you know when/where. Especially happy with my tree swing painting.
It's been a busy summer for sure! Shows have been great, air plants are definitely a hit. I was surprised by how many people are growing them and have had them for years. Met a neat lady who bartered with me for some amazing shells! Thanks Pat! Hope to see you at a show. My alcohol ink paintings and air plants are available at County Market in Medford WI. My alcohol ink paintings are also available at the Gift Shop on Main St in Medford WI. Want to say thank you to my wonderful husband Coby for building an awesome display for my works at County Market!
Summer, what a wonderful time of year. Slow lazy days. This is why we put up with winter. Air plants are my new favorite thing. Simple, elegant and easy to take care of. I'm selling them at County Market in Medford, craft shows (check out my schedule page). Thanks Laurie for this opportunity. People are loving them, and I love creating them!
